some notes from my watchlist:
It's been a rough decade for Intel but it's a small market and there's room for recovery. I think if Intel under new leadership can focus on becoming a leader within a specific area again they have a chance at expanding and recovering their status as a once great chip maker. This could be affected by the US CHIPS act and incoming administration. Arm architecture is dominant at the moment and that's not going anywhere with MSFT, AAPL and all mobile manufacturers using Arm now, Intel only really owns the server space and even that is being invaded by AMD Epyc/Zen processors as they are cheaper.
NVDA also dominates the GPU/FPGA/AI world so either Intel can execute some strategic magic and claw their way back into the chip market or shift towards a different position within the supply chain, infrastructure or manufacturing for others. They would really need to innovate on the R&D side to compete with the other players but it's not completely impossible.
